Couts participates in the ministry of the Center of Hope. Once a
quarter, four times a year, Couts is responsible for preparing and
serving meals for a week. Volunteers have the opportunity to
serve the food, pray with and visit with the clients.
Center of Hope Information
Parker County Center of Hope is a Christ-based 501c3 organization
dedicated to reversing the cycle of poverty in Parker County through
our offices in Weatherford and Aledo. They currently offer the
following programs to neighbors in need.
Food Bank- distributes 1000+ carts of groceries to over 500 families each month
Limited financial aid for utilities, prescriptions, and rent
Daily meals prepared and served restaurant-style by Churches of Hope on a rotational basis, over 1,400 meals a month.
Computer classes and GED classes
Housing program which places single moms and children into homes where they receive intensive, life-changing mentoring for 1 ½ to 2 years.
Career Closet - mentoring women who are making a change in careers or embarking on a new career
The Center of Hope openly shares the gospel with clients, but in a gentle way. Theye never refuse services based on an unreceptive ear.
