Couts participates in the ministry of the Center of Hope. Once a

quarter, four times a year, Couts is responsible for preparing and

serving meals for a week.  Volunteers have the opportunity to

serve the food, pray with and visit with the clients.


Center of Hope Information


Parker County Center of Hope is a Christ-based 501c3 organization

dedicated to reversing the cycle of poverty in Parker County through

our offices in Weatherford and Aledo. They currently offer the

following programs to neighbors in need.

  • Food Bank- distributes 1000+ carts of groceries to over 500 families each month

  • Limited financial aid for utilities, prescriptions, and rent

  • Daily meals prepared and served restaurant-style by Churches of Hope on a rotational basis, over 1,400 meals a month.

  • Computer classes and GED classes

  • Bible studies

  • Housing program which places single moms and children into homes where they receive intensive, life-changing mentoring for 1 ½ to 2 years.

  • Career Closet - mentoring women who are making a change in careers or embarking on a new career

The Center of Hope openly shares the gospel with clients, but in a gentle way. Theye never refuse services based on an unreceptive ear.
